MY BADUANJIN
Methodology & Sources
Last updated:
A record of what is shown, what was used, and what the demonstrations cannot establish.
What this release is
This is an independent, English-language educational website with eight movement guides. There is no public registration, membership checkout or camera assessment in this release. The diagrams and animated studies are simplified teaching aids, not an individually prescribed programme.
Written references
Our production records include user-supplied extracts of the Chinese group standard titled 八段锦, identified as T/CACM 1676—2026 / T/CHQA 0001—2026. We consulted the descriptions of sequence, movement, natural breathing and safety, including sections 5.2.1, 5.2.2, 5.2.4, 6.6.1 and 8. Publisher details and a stable public source link have not yet been independently verified. We do not present this as a conformity assessment or a relationship with a publisher. We do not list unverified textbooks as sources.
How the current demonstrations were made
The current schematic character is assembled from simple geometric forms. Its poses, transitions, scene and selectable views were newly authored for these guides using Three.js and SVG. This release does not load the earlier GLB character, original demonstration video, extracted landmarks, captured hand data, or the earlier retargeting and timing modules. Counts and approximate practice durations are teaching suggestions, not measurements of a source performance.
Earlier production history
An earlier version used a user-provided demonstration video for selected frame-by-frame visual comparisons and local MediaPipe Holistic extraction. Preparation and first-movement data were mapped to a character; other movements were adjusted through visual review. Permission for that extraction and commercial reuse could not be obtained. The earlier player and assets are no longer publicly served. Those records are retained internally for chronology. This page does not claim permission for the earlier use or erase that history.
Breathing, balance and variations
The guides prioritise natural breathing and comfortable movement. Optional breath timing is not compulsory. The balance diagram shows a schematic support base and vertical reference, not measured weight distribution or a biomechanical centre-of-mass calculation. The fifth movement uses a deliberately small illustrative sway; it is not a measurement of a person’s pelvic path. Practice traditions differ, and this simplified presentation is not the only possible version.
Text, audio and third-party assets
The current English teaching notes were written for this website. They have not undergone an independent professional teaching or clinical review. This release has no narration or background audio. Previously published music and synthetic voice files are not served. Three.js is used under the MIT licence; DM Sans and Bricolage Grotesque are distributed under the SIL Open Font License. Licence notices are retained with the deployed assets. We do not claim ownership of the traditional sequence or third-party software and fonts.
Limits and corrections
Schematic studies cannot show every finger, palm rotation or joint detail accurately. They cannot assess your health or certify correct posture. Read the full disclaimer. For movement errors, source corrections or rights concerns, email support@mybaduanjin.com with the page and details. We review reports and correct or remove material where warranted; no fixed response time is promised.
